Challenge
Banter by Piercing Pagoda needed a comprehensive rebranding to transition from Piercing Pagoda and increase brand awareness.
Solution
Led a 9-month rebrand from Piercing Pagoda to Banter, boosting brand awareness by 6 basis points. This involved updating the name, logo, visual identity, core target, brand purpose, and tone. We also revamped the e-commerce site and stores to reflect the new brand. The launch campaign featured celebrity brand ambassador videos, social media content, email marketing, store signage, online video, and display ads.

Pagoda BEFORE
The brand today is vibrant, inclusive, and playful. The brand captures the feeling of "Whoever you are today, it's golden."
Our new kiosks are now modern and fresh.
I partnered with the in-store experience manager to execute our designs in Inline stores. We used a neutral palette to highlight the signage. The gold B on a wooden-patterned black wall and the "YOU'RE GOLDEN" ice blue wall serve as great selfie spots.
Our models are now well-lit against vibrant backgrounds. I hired stylists who incorporate current trends, appealing to millennials and inspiring Gen Z. Models embrace their personalities and playfulness.
We revamped the packaging to match the brand's new look, using neutrals for cards and bags with colorful surprises inside.
The logo's dynamic orientation inspired our box design. Using complementary colors, we made a bold choice: the logo wraps around the box. Inside, a contrasting bold color features the phrase "THE REAL DEAL. NO PHONY BUSINESS" on the card.
The website transformation was essential too. Pagoda on the left, Banter on the right. I collaborated with the UX team, agency, and web manager to ensure our e-commerce site matched our bold signage.
